Jazz Musicians. The weekend we kicked off with a JAZZ
SUPPER at the HALF MOON,
West Street. Good food, with Dinner Jazz from the Grimsby

The Saturday lunchtime concert was held in the Half Moon
gardens and featured
JOHN LEVOI, GRAHAM EADIE, and PETER
BARNABY, otherwise known as SWINGFELLAS,
playing their gypsy jazz,
and THE BACK OF THE MOON BAND
with Alford Jazz Club residents JOHN
MURRAY, PAUL HICKSON, SARAH EVISON, GORDON ANDERSON, PHIL
TAYLOR and PRIS MCGIRR. >>>

SHINY STOCKINGS are a nine
piece swing band comprised of members of the famous KEITH
BALDWIN BIG BAND. They played music from the Swing
era for listening and dancing in the MANOR
HOUSE MARQUEE. Barbecue food was served by the Olive
Tree. >>>

The Sunday JAZZ PICNIC was
at our traditional venue in the gardens of ALFORD
MANOR HOUSE. New Orleans style music by TONY
ORME and the SARATOGA JAZZ
ENSEMBLE. Brolly parade. >>>

This year AFM are introduced a new
event. On Sunday evening saxophonist Rick
Woolgar brought three other top notch players: Pat
McCarthy on guitar, Warren
Jolly on double bass, and John
Perry on drums to the Half Moon. This was a great opportunity
to hear these four prestigious musicians play together. >>>
