Sunday: The Massed dance by all the Morris dancers who spend the weekend in Alford is now a long established tradition and a great opportunity to see them all dance together.

This was followed by a Lantern Procession to the Gardens of the Half Moon on West Street where the Ceilidh was in full swing. The guest band RAKE UP, is a local 8 piece band who did the dance last year for the first time and got everybody dancing all night. Their return visit is by popular demand. This is very much a family event.

Monday: To finish the weekend Festival we had 2 bands performing in the back room of the Half Moon, West St. from 8pm. THE RAYS are a Lincoln based band of young musicians and singers who perform their own songs and judging from their CD, have definitively a great future.

THE RONALDOS are a most entertaining 4 piece band from Monmouth who play many tunes and songs we all know but in a rather unexpected style. They are hilarious and very talented musicians with a lot of experience, having been members of several chart topping bands in the past. Check out their website www theronaldos.co.uk.
